I went with spiral binding for my mini books because they were so small and wouldn't lay flat if perfect bound. For my first full sized book (365 free motion quilting designs) I had no choice but to perfect bind because I went with Create Space and that's all they offer.

Again, it's a personal choice and ultimately cost and availability will decide what binding is right for your book.

Cheers,

LeahLeahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03674869334249298532noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7302142022228564326.post-36898382815287108222012-07-06T11:04:44.002-04:002012-07-06T11:04:44.002-04:00This was such a great, in-depth look at self publi...This was such a great, in-depth look at self publishing. I've been thinking about going that route for awhile, but I guess I didn't know fully what that entailed. I am going to have to really think about this now (which is good). One thing I didn't see you mention was how you picked the binding style of the book. Did you do yours perfect binding printing? I know there are other types, and I am wondering which one is the most cost effective.Keelytmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11988570653621032375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7302142022228564326.post-46439420157286639932012-05-22T12:51:25.106-04:002012-05-22T12:51:25.106-04:00Fantastic post, thanks so much Leah!Fantastic post, thanks so much Leah!Mishkahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05430743905175844858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7302142022228564326.post-20554285281577652622012-05-21T04:31:31.328-04:002012-05-21T04:31:31.328-04:00Thank you so much for all your sharing, I love rea...Thank you so much for all your sharing, I love reading your blogs and I have started free machine quilting 10 mins a day.
