FMQ Project Link Up

It's Friday and what a super exciting week it has been! On Monday we learned how to piece Block #1, a simple four patch.

Just in case you missed it last week, make sure to check out the Piecing Tips post for more details specifically on quilt piecing.

By Tuesday I was getting loads of requests to create a Facebook group or forum where everyone making the quilt could hang out together. I created the Building Blocks Facebook Group and already we have over 800 members chatting together, asking questions, and posting photos.

Definitely join in and introduce yourself today! You never know, you might find quilters living in your town or city that you've never met before.

Since many people are wanting to jump right into free motion quilting, I've also posted a video on block marking tips so you can mark your blocks in preparation for quilting.

Finally yesterday we learned more tips on basting, batting, and backing, so you should be able to baste your blocks and be ready to quilt on Monday!

Whew! It's been a busy week for me! What have you been up to?

Simple rules for the FMQ Project Link Up:

1. Link up with a post that features something you've learned from the Free Motion Quilting Project.
2. Somewhere in your post, please link back here.
3. Comment on at least 2 other links. Share your love of free motion quilting and make this weekly link up a fun way to connect with other quilters around the world!
