Leah's Casual Cam - Crunch Time!

I'm so crazy busy right now with so many different things! Here's a casual cam to catch you up on the latest:

Off to upload another video and then go clean up. Things are getting too crazy and the studio is driving me nuts!

Let's go quilt,

Leah Day

  1. I subscribe to Quiltmaker and can't wait to see your article!

  2. HI Leah,

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all your tutorials. I just started quilting late last summer and have two complete quilts thus far and am FMQing my third currently. Yours were the first videos I found on FMQing and I have found so many great tips and ideas. Wish I could take an in person class with you - I am legally blind - so certain FMQ designs are very difficult for me such as travel stitching and echoing. I am really not satisfied with "just" stippling though. However, I really loved bare branches and wanted to use it on the quilt I am currently making. It is for my 16yr. old son who surprisingly has been really into watching the whole quilting process. His quilt is totally my own design based on things he loves so it features camo, fish and stars. I was able to work bare branches into the camo stars and I am SUPER happy about it. No, the travel stitching isn't perfect, but it isn't "wonky branches" either. So thank you! You are helping beginner quilters and even handicapped quilters.

  3. These videos are so fun! I'll be looking for the magazine--congrats!!

  4. "Leah-ing" it! Laughing here. I had a friend who said "You always have to make it different." Would that be "Rebecca-ing" it?

Actually, I have been reflecting lately on "how" I do things. I should watch out for complicating things. Thanks for the reminder.

  5. For your in the hoop items - how about "Grounded" or some riff on that?
