Happy 4th of July!

Happy Independence Day! Here's to big bonfires, grilling hotdogs, and making s'mores!

Lately I've been feeling like I don't say this enough - I am proud to be an American. I love my country! I love the state of North Carolina where I've lived my whole life, too.

I love and appreciate the freedom I've had to build a business, raise my kid, and live the life I've always wanted to live. There is so much to feel happy and grateful for just living in the US, and it's easy to take it for granted.

If you've been feeling the same way, please take a break from social media and get outside. Enjoy your own backyard or visit a state or national park, and see for yourself what a vast, beautiful, amazing country we live in!

Let's go quilt (after one more s'more!)

    Great post.

  2. I really appreciate your post. Thank you very much.

  3. Our country is not perfect and there is no other that I would rather live than in the United States of America. North Carolina is a beautiful state. When I moved to Oklahoma, I didn't have plans to stay here long and I've been here 44 years. I married a native Oklahoman, had children, and when my husband left, my children were old enough to want to stay for several years. Now I'm still here and the adult children have moved to other states. It gives me a chance to enjoy the diversity of this great country.
