Talk about a headache!

Lisa - I have 2 drop in bobbin machines and haven't had a problem inserting the bobbin while they're in the table.

Maybe try moving the machine slightly to the right so you have a bit more space if the bobbin case is to the left side. If it's in the front, you could try lowering your chair or kneeling on the floor for a better view. Maybe that can help!

Hi Herabird - The Horizon actually has a little knobby thing that the table hooks into so it doesn't slide around. If your Designer 1 doesn't have one, maybe try tape?

Let's go quilt,

Leah DayLeahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03674869334249298532noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7302142022228564326.post-43454871146530089652010-08-14T10:11:33.914-04:002010-08-14T10:11:33.914-04:00Happy Anniversary!! I used to use my Designer 1's acrylic table the same way in my Koala cabinet but the table wouldn't stay put and often slid off to one side because there are no cutouts around the edge to securely set it into the opening. I even tried taping it down LOL....but I ended up buying an custom insert for the cabinet.herabirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02519993245651366158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7302142022228564326.post-81701987962872499252010-08-13T22:02:33.163-04:002010-08-13T22:02:33.163-04:00OK. I found that when I needed to change the bobbin, I had to unplug the machine, raise the machine, open the bobbin compartment, change the bobbin, lower the machine and re-plug the machine is....again, loved how it worked just wished the company I had bought it from told me about that. My temp setup on a folding table with one of those portable tables had a lot of vibration when I got the speed up to a certain point while doing free motion. How are these tables for vibration (Bernina machine)? I immediately took it out of the box and put my machine in. I have to wait till tomorrow for hubby to do some adjustments to level the machine (it is easy enough that I could do it myself but if I did hubby would realize i don't need him for that kind of thing!) but so far I love it and the service was wonderful! I can't wait to road test it!PiecefulChaoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03452502162353164660noreply@blogger.com
